Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum brings visitors back to the days when silent film greats, such as Gilbert M. "Broncho Billy" Anderson and Charlie Chaplin graced the streets of Niles, shooting films for the Essanay Film Manufacturing Company. Visitors to the museum can explore an array of Essanay film memorabilia as well as watch terrific old silent films which are screened throughout the year. The museum is located in southern Alameda County in Fremont, just around the corner from the Niles Depot.
